Genealogy -- The Pursuit of Family History

Many of us share a fascination for personal history and a desire to know all we can about where we came from and how we got to where we are today.
As a child, I would listen to every story of “The Good Ol’ Days” and come to attention at the mere hint of reminiscings by my elders. Too bad I did’t know then how valuable all those memories were or how much I would regret not taking more notes.
Well, I can not revisit those days but I can preserve as many of those fabulous tales as possible for the enlightenment and enjoyment of future family history lovers...And do my part to see that others learn how to do the same.
Anyone involved in uncovering family history will tell you it can be as frustrating as it is rewarding and takes far more work and time than many beginners ever imagine. For many, genealogy becomes a way of life. A mindset, if you will, that is soon as natural as breathing.  You listen harder, see things in a different light and never again dismiss those stories as a waste of time.
This site is designed to help you find what you are seeking and do it as quickly and efficiently as possible.  Genealogy is something I live, not just something I do in my spare time.  It is my aim to help you make the most of your research time and efforts by giving you access to the best “How To” information available and links to the most rewarding sites.
Enjoy your journey and may your rewards be many and the frustrations few...
...Sincerely,
A Fellow Traveler
P.S. Feel free to ask questions and I will do my best to supply the answers or point you to someone who can.
